On September 20, 2025, the second lecture of the 2025 Health Textile Lecture Hall was delivered at the School of Textiles and Fashion, Shanghai University of Engineering Science. This activity is a cooperative project between the Health Textile Branch of the China Health Care Association and the university to co-establish the Modern Health Textile Industry Joint Laboratory. It also serves as the Enterprise Expert in the Classroom session for the Textile Engineering Department's courses Introduction to Textile Science and Introduction to Nonwoven Materials and Engineering.
The lecture was hosted by Mr. Gao Weihong, Deputy Director of the Textile Engineering Department. Attendees included Mr. Sun Guangwu, Director of the Fashion Design and Engineering Department, and Mr. Yang Shu, head of the Nonwoven Materials and Engineering program, among other faculty members. The event featured guest speakers Ms. Zhu Qing from SGS Testing Services (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Mr. Li Jianghua from Yiwu Changsheng Apparel Co., Ltd., with over 150 first-year undergraduate students in attendance. Ms. Zhu Qing, speaking on Exploring New Trends in the Fashion Textile Industry, highlighted that the fashion textile sector is moving toward a deep integration of sustainability and functionality, requiring authoritative verification to empower enterprises. Mr. Li Jianghua, focusing on How Designers Can Make Clothing Healthier and More Comfortable, presented technological breakthroughs and innovative products.
Following the lecture, Mr. Gao Weihong and Mr. Yang Shu presented teaching certificates to the guest speakers. The activity was conducted through a format of expert lectures + physical product displays + student Q&A + expert responses, which stimulated new students' sense of professional identity. It embodies the university's three synergies model of collaborative education, collaborative talent cultivation, and collaborative innovation, and also supports the development of the Digital Technology Textile and Apparel Modern Industry College. In the future, the school will continue to deepen the integration of industry, academia, research, and application to cultivate applied innovative textile talents.
