On the afternoon of April 1, 2025, Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES) and Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA), Italy, successfully held an information session for the 2025 Dual-Degree Program at Classroom C114. Attendees included Ms. Qian Xin, Chief Representative of NABA China Office; Ms. Huang Ruyu, Officer of Overseas Student Programs at the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange; Professor Qu Hongjian, Associate Dean of the School of Textile and Fashion; Ms. Yang Shu, Secretary for International Exchange; Professor Xu Jianghua, Associate Dean of the School of Art and Design; and Ms. Chen Lu, Secretary for International Exchange, together with undergraduate and graduate students. The session was hosted by Ms. Yang Shu.
Ms. Qian Xin began with a brief introduction of NABA, followed by a detailed overview of the current collaboration programs between the two institutions, including the 3+1, 2+2, 1+1+1 pathways and the Master’s Direct Admission Track. She further elaborated on the qualifications and requirements for student applications, the preparations needed prior to applying, and the full application procedure.
Ms. Huang Ruyu from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange gave an in-depth explanation of SUES’s supporting policies for overseas programs and engaged in interactive discussions with the students present.
NABA, short for Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, is an innovative and dynamic academy of arts as well as a vibrant cultural center. Established in 1980, it is located in Milan, the global capital of fashion. The academy offers undergraduate and graduate programs in product design, interior design, fashion design, graphic design, animation, stage design, and other art and design fields. NABA is a private Italian art institution recognized by the Ministries of Education of both China and Italy. In 2021, NABA ranked among the world’s top 100 universities in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for Art & Design, and it is the only Italian art academy included in this ranking.
the School of Textile and Fashion has maintained years of cooperation with NABA in joint education programs. Over time, numerous undergraduate and graduate students have made full use of this platform to “go out and bring back,” broadening their international horizons and enhancing their professional competencies. It is hoped that through this information session, more students will benefit from the program in the coming years, continuously advancing the international cooperation level of the School of Textile and Fashion.
