At 4:00 PM on May 20, 2025, the 2025 Graduation Design Fashion Show of the School of Textiles and Fashion, Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES), was successfully held at the Changning Campus of the university. This graduation show showcased more than 80 outstanding graduation works from the Fashion Design and Engineering major of the school.
Xia Chunming, Vice President of Shanghai University of Engineering Science; Chen Yuehua, President of Shanghai Industrial Design Association; leaders from partner universities of the integrated training program; representatives of industry-university cooperation enterprises; leaders from brother colleges and functional departments both inside and outside the university; as well as external part-time tutors attended the show and highly praised it.
The theme of the 2025 undergraduate graduation design works for the Fashion Design and Engineering major is “Consciousness Pleats”. It aims to explore the complexity and variability of consciousness and thinking through fashion design, and visually present abstract thoughts and emotions in the works. It is reported that some of the costumes featured in the show won awards at the 10th “Huichuang Youth” Shanghai University Students’ Cultural and Creative Works Exhibition (Fashion Design Category), including 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, and 3 third prizes.
In addition, the models participating in the show were students from the Performance major of the school, which intuitively demonstrated the school’s teaching achievements in both the Fashion Design and Engineering and Performance majors to the society.
